CRITICAL rEVIEWS:
“Ubaldo Molesti is a contemporary artist who, in Fuori Spazio, articulates a research that unfolds simultaneously as an exploration of the infinite and of his own lived experience. His work becomes a language through which the complexity of existence emerges.
The ellipsoidal forms he calls cosmoforms, recurring throughout his practice, suggest a personal alphabet—one through which he continuously composes new narratives. His work reaches outward, probing external space, an infinite universe without boundaries, while at the same time evoking the boundless potential inherent in both the artist and the human condition.”

His artistic practice explores the tension between the incompleteness of the creative act and the aspiration toward the infinite: the fragments are not ruins, but seeds of cosmic forms in the making. The work is rooted in the tradition of abstraction, intertwining the material rigor of Arte Povera with the expressive intensity of Informal art.
At the heart of his visual language is the Cosmoforma: an ellipsoidal, dynamic figure that glides across the surface like a celestial body. The exhibition also includes a group of sculptures in painted iron and terracotta, in which the Cosmoforms definitively abandon two-dimensionality to occupy physical space.
Frammenti is an invitation to cross the threshold between the visible and the invisible, between the surface and the depth, between the detail and the cosmos that contains it.

“The journey of Ubaldo Molesti. Far from where? Different from whom? Far from the intrusive imagery of the present world, where symbolic references have become faint, almost evanescent.
For Molesti, the image must go beyond, revealing itself in an essential form—touching the very foundations of perception, beyond the shared frameworks of knowledge. His journey is a movement away from all this: a re-emergence, a rediscovery, an inquiry.
It unfolds outside common codes, in a space where the collective imagination can no longer reach.”
RESET – RIEMERGERE, curated by Lorenzo Poggi
“With a simultaneously scientific and poetic urgency, Ubaldo Molesti turns his gaze toward the cosmos, both as investigator and contemplator. His work carries a strong material presence that evokes cosmic substance, re-presented to the viewer’s touch as an existential metaphor—one that echoes much of human cultural history.
His cosmic works recall the sense of the non-finito associated with Michelangelo, allowing the infinite to emerge beyond the edges of the aesthetic surface. They appear as fragments of a Whole, infinitesimal parts of an endless mosaic that reflects Life itself, in its eternal cycles of birth and death.”
